Terms of Service
Last updated: June 25, 2026
Welcome to Lumela. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Lumela app and website (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. Using Lumela
You must be at least 13 years old to use Lumela. You're responsible for your account and for keeping your login secure. You agree to provide accurate information and to use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws.
2. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you create in Lumela — trips, expenses, documents, locations, messages, and more. You grant us a limited license to host, store, and display that content solely to operate the Service for you and the group members you share it with. You're responsible for the content you upload and for having the right to share it.
3. Groups & shared content
Lumela is built for groups. Content you add to a group is visible to that group's members. Be thoughtful about what you share, and only invite people you trust. Group administrators may manage membership and shared content within their group.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for anything unlawful, harmful, or abusive.
- Upload content that infringes others' rights or violates their privacy.
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse‑engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
- Use the Service to send spam or to harass others.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Subscriptions (Lumela+)
Some features are offered through a paid subscription, Lumela+. Subscriptions are billed through the app store you purchased from, renew automatically unless cancelled, and are managed through your app store account. Refunds are handled according to the app store's policies.
6. Availability & changes
We work hard to keep Lumela running, but the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll update this page.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lumela is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. The Service is a coordination tool — you remain responsible for your own travel, money, and decisions.
8. Termination
You can stop using Lumela and delete your account at any time from within the app (Settings → Delete Account). We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms.
