What free means here
No selling your data
Trip content and location stay inside your group. We don't sell them, and we don't hand them to a data broker. You can delete your account and its content from inside the app.
No trial countdown
The free tier isn't a demo. Use it for one weekend or for four years — it works the same on day 1,200 as it does on day one.
Honest questions
Is there a catch?
No ads, no data sales, no time-limited trial. The app is free because it is small and we would rather have people using it than have a funnel. When Lumela+ arrives it will add capacity and an assistant — it won't take away anything you have today.
What will Lumela+ cost?
Not decided yet, and we'd rather say that than invent a number. It will be a normal app-store subscription with monthly and yearly options, and the free tier will remain genuinely usable.
Do I need Lumela+ to use the AI assistant?
You can connect your own API key today and use the assistant on your own account, at your own cost. The managed version — where we supply the key and the whole group shares it — is the part planned for Lumela+.
How do you make money right now?
We don't. Lumela is a small product built by people who travel in groups, and it runs on modest infrastructure. That's the honest answer.
