About Universo Paralello 2026-2027
Universo Paralello is Brazil's flagship psytrance and alternative-culture gathering, held on Praia de Pratigi, a 17km stretch of near-inaccessible coastline on Bahia's Costa do Dendê, about 290km south of Salvador. Started in 1997 by Juarez "Swarup" Petrillo and friends, it moved to Pratigi permanently in 2012 and now runs as a biennial, New Year's Eve edition. The 2026/2027 run is its 19th edition: eight days and nights of continuous music across seven stages (five oceanfront) — Main Floor, 303 Stage, Palco Paralello/Chillout, Circulou, UP Beach Club, Tropikalien and Artboat — spanning psytrance, trance, house, techno, reggae and Brazilian genres, plus Circulou's circus, healing and workshop spaces. Admission includes communal camping; tickets are sold only via Ingresse. The site runs on dry toilets and cashless payment, with no 24-hour ATMs, so a pre-loaded wristband matters more than cash.
