Nyege Nyege: dates, lineup and planning with your group

About Nyege Nyege

Nyege Nyege is East Africa's biggest electronic and experimental music festival, held on the banks of the River Nile near Jinja, Uganda. Now in its 11th edition, the 2026 edition (themed 'The Wakaliwood Edition', in partnership with Ramon Film Productions) moves to a permanent home at Adrift Overland Camp, Kalagala Falls, with four days of music across seven stages for an expected 200+ artists. The festival is famous for a boundary-pushing, eclectic lineup that puts African electronic genres such as gqom, singeli and kuduro alongside house and techno, plus reggae, live bands and a Boiler Room stage — drawing a mixed crowd of East African clubbers and international electronic-music travelers. It suits dance-music fans who want an adventurous, off-the-beaten-path festival rather than a polished Euro-festival experience; riverside camping is built into the site alongside white-water rafting, kayaking and bungee jumping. Most visitors fly into Entebbe International Airport, then travel about 2.5 hours by road to the venue (roughly 2 hours from Kampala, 35 minutes from Jinja town); a Uganda e-visa should be arranged in advance.
